Hi everyone,

All but two students have signed up under project requests. I will be making final assignments of the groups this evening, and announcing them in class tomorrow. Groups that are fully formed by 4pm today are most likely to remain intact. I may have to split up other people who signed up together, although I will do my best to avoid it. Thus, it is in your best interest to look at the wiki and contact other partial groups to see if your groups can merge. Because we have 21 students in the course, there will be one project that consists of 5 team members... and five projects that consist of 4 team members. The main requirement for composition is that you have at least one design-oriented student and one technically-oriented student. I know some people are both!

Also, you should not be able to view other group spaces. Let me know if you can.

I will be holding my office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:30pm (INFO 018 till 9/27 and LH 305 thereafter). You can make appointments as well.

Hi everyone,

Here is what I will be grading you on for your weekly presentations:

10 pts: presentation. Just the basics (i.e., tempo, eye contact, slide format, etc...)

10 pts: content. Make sure to cover the theme, and not just what is in the paper (i.e., did you bring in outside work, your own thoughts, interesting videos, etc...)

10 pts: discussion. This class is supposed to be active for everyone. Give the class ample opportunity to get involved. (i.e., did you get the class involved throughout your presentation? did you pose stimulating questions or scenarios? Did you have some type of class activity?, etc...)

The requirements document is due next week. I've been looking over the wikis to see if any groups are having problems that I need to address... but some of you have very little on your wiki. This is the primary venue for Adity and I to keep tabs on the group, so please try to update it with your current progress and status. --Kay
