Photos taken in early July, 2007, along the North Shore
of Lake Superior.
- The photos of the Cascade River
and the Temperance River
show two of our favorite streams along the shore.
- The photos of Shovel Point are from
a hike out to what is certainly the most scenic vista along
the shore and to our family having fun on the cobble beach below.
- Look carefully at the photos 43 and 44 of
the Brule River and see the water
disappear into the rock. You'll also see a few of the 532
steps that we (in particular, my 92 year old Mom) climbed.
- The first few photos of the
Gunflint Trail show a moose,
most of the rest show the regrowth after the May 07 forest fire.
- Most of the Photos of Grand Marais
are infact taken on the breakwater showing huge waves.
Photos cannot capture the noise and the spray.
- The Grand Portage collection
has a few photos of the restored fur trading post and a few of Pigeon
Falls. Note how low the water is.
- Naniboujou photos show a
commercial lodge with wonderful decor.
- The Saint Paul photos include a few of the picnic
for the descendants of John Jacob Biebighauser.
